Tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your favorite word and how often do you use it?

 Prompt Response: My favorite word right now is "word." It's my favorite because when people say something interesting to I just say "oh word" depending on how i say it, its with either a question mark, quotation mark, or with a period. Summary: I like it because it can use it in many different ways, depending on how I say it. Reflection: One small word can mean so many things just by changing the tone or punctuation. it show how language can be creative and also personal. Using it became apart of how i express myself in certain situations.

Before the Civil War, most people saw nothing wrong with children working long hours. Over time, people began to see it as unfair and even cruel. What is something that society once accepted but now sees as wrong, or something we still accept today that might be viewed as wrong in the future? Explain your reasoning.

 Prompt Response: One thing society once accepted but now views as wrong is the practice of slavery. Many people in the past didn't see anything wrong with owning African Americans, but now they are realizing, over time, the injustice and cruelty of it. Summary: In the past, many people accepted slavery as normal. This change in thinking shows how people's views can evolve as they learn more about human rights. Reflection: This makes me realize how important it is to question what society accepts as normal.

Blake uses the chimney sweepers to expose how society ignores suffering. Reflect on a time when you noticed someone being treated unfairly or saw a situation that didn’t seem right. How does this experience connect to the emotions or ideas expressed in one or both poems?

 Prompt Response: I saw a classmate being mistreated by others, and I felt upset that many of the people stayed silent. Summary: It made me realize how easy it is to overlook someone's pain. Reflection: My experience reminded me of the importance of empathy and standing up for yourself.

Describe your birth experience. What have your parents told you about the circumstances of your birth?

 Prompt Response: My mom said she went into labor late at night, and she was in labor with me for 12 hours, but she said that I came out healthy. Summary: My birth was a joyful but also hectic experience for my parents, but everything turned out well. Reflection: Hearing about my birth made me appreciate everything my parents went through to bring me into this world.

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?

 Prompt Response: When I was young, I was scared of thunderstorms. I used to lie in bed, and the lightning and thunder would be so loud that I would jump in my sleep and not be able to go back until it fully stopped. Summary: The lightning was pretty, but also dangerous and powerful. Reflection: That made me realize that not everything pretty is safe, and this all happened when I was 10.

Describe a time you couldn’t stop laughing.

 Prompt Response: A time I couldn't stop laughing was at the lunch table at school, and my friend was telling a story a story and in the middle of her telling it, she fell on the floor. I wasn't laughing AT her, I was laughing at the way she fell. Summary: My friends and I laughed when it happened, but we helped her up after. Reflection: Sometimes the funniest things happen when things don't go perfectly.

Write about what you did over the Fall Break.

 Prompt Response: Over fall break, I worked for a couple of days and just stayed home and slept, and I also went to hang out with one of my friends. I also took my senior pictures. Summary: I realized I didn't do much over the fall break, but I just got a lot of sleep, which is always nice, and took my senior pictures. Reflection: I worked and slept in, and took senior portraits during the fall break.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

 Prompt Response: When someone said they weren't leaving for someone else, so the situation did not matter.  Summary: Someone's honest explanation helped me realize that not everything people do is meant to hurt me. Their words helped me see the situation more clearly. Reflection: That experience taught me how powerful, clear, and truthful communication can be.

How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on? Write about at least three specific things you do to enjoy small moments throughout your day.

 Prompt Response: When I have a busy day, I make time to enjoy small moments. I listen to music first while getting ready in the morning to help me get in a good mood for the day. Summary: The one way I make time to enjoy my day is just listening to music; it helps me relax and find balance in my daily routine. Reflection: I have learned that finding joy doesn't always mean doing something big; it can come from simple things.

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

 Prompt Response: A moment I had to step out of my comfort zone was when I wanted to try a new hair color with braids. I was stuck with something simple, but I wanted to try something new this time. Summary: I decided to try a different style and add color other than my natural hair color with it. It took courage to embrace my new look, but I ended up liking it, and now I try new styles and colors. Reflection: I'm glad I took that leap and tried something new. This taught me that stepping out of your comfort zone can be a good thing, and it doesn't always have to be something dramatic or huge, just something small to get used to.

Write about a dream that felt real.

 Prompt Response: I had a dream that I was standing on the edge of the ocean during a storm. The waves were huge, and the wind was so strong it almost knocked my tiny self over. I saw a light and I started to swim to it, and the water was cold and heavy, but I didn't stop. When I reached the light, it was a glowing stone. When I touched it, everything went dark. (Weirdest dream I ever had) Summary: I was caught in a storm by the ocean and saw a mysterious glowing light. The dream felt so real that I kept questioning myself about it. Reflection: This dream made me think about how dreams can be a meaning of something that you need to face, like a fear you're scared of.

Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

 Prompt Response: I've been curious about space and the universe. Summary: It always fascinates me because it shows how small we are compared to the universe. Reflection: My curiosity about space is to keep asking questions and learning more every chance I can get.

What would you do: tell your friend to confess, tell their partner yourself, or stay quiet? Explain your choice, using ideas about loyalty and consequences from Fences. How might your decision affect everyone involved?

 Prompt Response: I would encourage my friend to confess to their partner instead of keeping it a secret Summary: I'd show loyalty to them while also protecting their partner from living in the dark. Reflection: This movie shows how secrets can destroy relationships over time.

Write about a conversation that changed you.

 A prompt response: A conversation that changed me occurred with my teacher. They told me that failure wasn't the end of the road but a way to learn and grow. Summary: This shifted the way I approach challenges; instead of quitting when things get hard, I can take away from it. Reflection: They changed my perspective on school and goals.

Write about something that you believed as a child.

 Prompt Response: Something I believed as a child was Santa Claus and other fairy tales. Summary: As a child, I believed in Santa Claus and other magical figures, such as the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny. These beliefs were fueled by stories and the excitement of childhood. Reflection: These beliefs were a significant part of my childhood.
